Physiotherapy is an umbrella term for many different therapeutic methods used to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Branches of physiotherapy are:

• Movement therapy (physiotherapy).
• Mobilization of shortened muscles or joints restricted in range of motion
• Strengthening of weakened muscles or muscle groups
• Training therapy (exercises on/with equipment)
• Rehabilitation (in case of heart diseases or after brain injuries)
• Postural gymnastics (e.g. scoliosis therapy)
• Thermotherapy (cold/hot compresses)
• Electrotherapy (current applications)
• Massage (e.g. classical massage, connective tissue massage

All these methods are of course offered in our practice. They are usually sufficient to treat the most common complaints. In the last decades, more and more specialized treatment methods have been developed within physiotherapy to treat different, special, complicated or rare health problems.
