Geneva Dance Center (Chêne-Bourg)

The Geneva Dance Center, run by Samantha and Julien Allen Bancillon since 2009, was founded in 1980 by Claudine and David Allen. It is a classical dance school, with a section reserved for anyone wishing to dance without considering a career, as well as a professional training section.

The school has trained many young dancers who are currently performing all over the world with some of the world's leading companies. The school's priority is to teach classical ballet.

The Geneva Dance Center has 3 studios, one of which is 200 and one 100 m², equipped with a floating floor covered with linoleum specially adapted for classical dance, and a 45 m² Studio. Changing rooms and showers cater to students' needs, and one is located beneath the school with direct access to it. Shopping center and cafeteria on the first floor.

**Course description

**Dance School Entry to these classes is open to all, from the age of 4. The only requirement is a love of dance.

**Professional training 1 and 2 Auditions all year round For Professional Training, Monday to Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
For Pre-Professional Training, every Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
The "lejeuneballet.ch" ballet company is made up of student dancers from the Professional Training classes.

Entry to these classes and to "lejeuneballet.ch" is subject to an audition, in the form of a class, to determine the child's potential. The students, aged 11 to 18, have between 12 and 35 hours of lessons a week, depending on their level and schooling.

In addition to classical ballet, which is the main focus, with learning and perfecting classical technique, the program includes classes in pointe, pas de deux and variations, as well as contemporary and .

Each year, the school offers partial or full scholarships to gifted students. The school is a member of the Swiss Federation of Dance Schools (FSED).
