CSD studio Pilates (Mendrisio)

he Mendrisio Dance Study Center (CSD) was founded in September 1987 by Halina Caneva-Piekos. It will therefore celebrate 30 years in Mendrisio in 2017.

In 2004 the CSD joined the Russian Ballett Association, and in 2005 Halina Caneva-Piekos was accepted as an active member of the Swiss Association of Dance Teachers, which later became "dansesuisse."

Since 2012 she has been a member of the Ticino Dance Schools that are part of the Association of Dance Profession Training (AFPDanza), and since September 2015 she has been participating in the Ticino project, in collaboration with AFPDanza, for the promotion of talent in dance.

Since its founding, CSD has presented school performances inspired by the great classical repertoire, adapting original choreography to the technical capabilities of its students. Over the years, the following have been staged: "Swan Lake" and "Nutcracker" by P. Tchaikovsky, "Coppelia" by L. Delibes, "Cinderella" by S. Prokoviev, "Carnaval" by R.Schumann, "Cadets' Ball" by J.Strauss, "Giselle" by A.Adam and, most recently, "Don Quixote" by L.Minkus.
